Gateway of India and Elephanta caves

10 AM to 6 PM

Gateway of India is one of the famous tourist attraction in India. This is the entry gate from Arabian sea to the land of the country. It was build in 20th century in Bombay, India. Mumbai used to be referredas Bombay at that time.  The monument was erected to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary at Apollo Bunder on their visit to India in 1911.

When you look at the view of Hotel Taj Mahal and the beautiful sea from this place. For Indians, from 2008 this place means a courage, pride, sacrifice for the nation and many more emotions. After 26-11-2008 terrorist attacks Hotel Taj Mahal Palace is again stood beautifully representing culture and hospitality of India and every Indian feels proud and united when they see Hotel Taj Mahal palace and Gateway of India!

From Gateway of India you will get many ferry boats that will take you to Elephanta island. Elephanta Caves are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a collection of cave temples predominantly dedicated to Hindu god Shiva and Buddha as well. It is altogether nice experience to see the and understand the sculptures.

You cannot discover this city within three days. so I am sure I am gonna go back and visit more places. The most important thing remaining is the Film city..! Bollywood is famous all over the world so I have to be back to see the film city.

You should not miss travelling from local trains, city bus, double city bus, auto, taxi and off course metro. The reason I am asking you to do this is because using all these transportation types, you will get many different experiences while travelling  and those experiences are really exciting!!!
