San Miguel is a colonial city 2 1/2 hour drive from Mexico city, it is close to Queretaro. It is a city, taken out of a fairy tale story, with cobblestones streets and baroque spanish architecture.

ROSEWOOD HOTEL

Have a drink at the terrace of Rosewood Hotel at sunset, it has the best view of the city.

Dinner at MAMA MIA, it is an italian place with great food.

HOTELS

For luxury lodging I recommend Matilda hotel,  Casa de Sierra Nevada, La Puertecita, Rosewood hotel, personally I like better Rosewood, It is a very colonial hotel.

LA AURORA

Once it was a Textile Factory, today is the home of canvases, sculptures and artisanal craftwork made by the great artists who live in San Miguel.

It is the main attraction in San Miguel, it´s halls have been filled with modern art galleries and designer furniture and interior design stores.

Lunch

PESCAO

THIS RESTAURANT IS EXCELLENT ON SEAFOOD, THEY DON´T TAKE RESERVATIONS SO BE SURE TO ARRIVE EARLY!

Breakfast

Cumpanio

There´s a little bakery downtown of San Miguel Called Cumpanio a great place to have breakfast and enjoy like a local.

It is the main place on downtown, here is where the whole town gathers every afternoon, around you will find the parroquia, and a lot of food stands you should try the esquites delicous

WALK AROUND

When I go to San Miguel I love to walk on the streets to feel the ambiance and the stone streets don't be shy to just walk the city
