We chose this 4 stars hotel. It was nice place near to the ocean with good service and rooms (wi-fi only in the lobby). There are also bar and pool, sauna and spa section.
The best time to visit Djerba and enjoy the sun and the sea is the summer, from June to September. Public transportation is limited but taxis are available everywhere. They all use their meters, and prices are very reasonable. It is possible to hire a bicycle or a motor-bicycle. If you want to enjoy the best thalasso then you should go to the Radisson Blu Palace Resort. I went to that place for a few time and I enjoyed it a lot! The thalasso is just great and the personnel very professional, and very very kind. There is a warm sea water swimming pool from inside to outside and this is just a dream to swim during the night seeing the stars!
The best way to know Jerba better is to go to this museum. It shows how the island's industries and crafts are worked on and the extremely interesting ceremonies regarding marriage in Djerba. See traditional clothing and learn about Djerban wedding ceremonies and circumcision rituals, during which the displayed costumes are usually worn. The museum also contains a large collection of pottery.
This place wasn't so far from our hotel so we decided to get there by foot. The entrance fee was only 12 USD. Its the largest crocodile farm in the Mediterranean area. Over 400 of these creatures have been imported from the Nile River and Madagascar, and are living in a tropical zoo-like environment beautifully designed with exotic plants, ponds, and papyrus trees. If you will go there at feeding time then scary moments and excited kids are assured.
Everyone knows that it's the world’s largest desert, covering a territory roughly equivalent to the United States. The Sahara encompasses at least ten countries – Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, Algeria, Libya, Niger, Tunisia, Chad, Egypt and Sudan.
So if you are interested to know the Sahara better I very recommend to you participate in that excursion for 2 days. The price about 100 USD for each people.
This excursion also includes the small local Zoo (+4 USD). You will see there a camel which like a Coca-Cola.
Further, you will visit a Berber family who lives in a troglodyte home. There you can buy handmade bread and farmer's olive oil.
Next stop it's oasis. The area looks like a fairy-tale like the oasis, surrounded by lush greenery and palm trees in the middle of a dry sandy landscape.
Tatooine is a fictional desert planet that appears in the Star Wars. The planet was first seen in the original 1977 film Star Wars and has to date featured in a total of five Star Wars theatrical films.
Be sure that at 5 pm you will stay on one of the barkhans and don't miss fantastic view of a sunset in the desert.
