Why did you start travel blogging? How long have you been doing it?

I didn’t intentionally start writing about travel, but it’s such a large part of my life. When I return from my adventures, people always talk about the photos I’ve posted so it naturally integrated itself into an online publication.

I recommend places to visit when you’re in certain places and also give good honest advice about where to avoid. I have a penchant for the finer things in life so people trust my recommendations.

Travel’s the only thing in life that I believe makes you truly rich and to be able to relay my stories and quips is something I’m passionate about. Saying that, it was only natural that I included my travel adventures when writing.

I’ve had businesses since the age of 20 while studying for a university degree. Knowing the power of blogging, I’ve written posts for over 6 years, where travel has always found it’s place regardless of the business niche. From home interior inspired posts to funny stories, I’ve written about my adventures since the early days.

Name your top 3 most memorable places?

Las Vegas. It really has my heart, and I think it’s a place that always will. I’m returning for the 5th time this month, and every visit the neon in my veins just shines that little brighter

Ibiza. It’s one of those places that you can’t help but fall in love with. Don’t get me wrong it’s notorious for it’s party lifestyle, however done properly with the luxury twist, you can have the most sensational sophisticated time.

Miami. It’s up there but for all the wrong reasons. It’s beautiful and I can see the attraction, just for me after the most horrendous journey where I was taken into customs and wedged between criminals and Columbian drug smugglers wasn’t the Miami welcome I was looking for. Then arriving at our hotel, 2 homeless men were fist fighting in the bus stop our bus pulled up at.

That’s the thing though, there’s always a story and the better stories are these kind.

What’s the best thing about being a travel blogger?

The best thing’s experiencing all the gorgeous places and learning about new cultures. I absolutely love immersing myself into the culture of a new place.

From the style of dress, to the food, I absorb everything I possibly can.

And the worst?! (if there is one)

Living your holiday through the lens, waiting for the perfect shot. Sometimes I wish I could go technology free and really get that experience without the documentation.

Give your top tip to a blogger starting out

Don’t expect to have the red carpet rolled out, and be a club class member overnight. It’s not about what you can receive, it’s about what you can show brands you’re capable of.

Tell funny stories. Give really good recommendations, but don’t lose your integrity and say everything was the best ever. If it wasn’t, it’s actually alright to give constructive criticism.

Be prepared to do a lot for very little at the beginning, but follow your passion and in time it’ll pay off.

Hotel freebies: take ‘em’ or leave ‘em’?

Depends what they are. That sounds really snooty but I only take the freebies if they’re worth it!

What’s at the top of your list for destinations this year?

I say Cuba, as everywhere I look I see signs pointing me to a Cuban adventure! I know you might roll your eyes here, but watching Keeping up with the Kardashians when they went to Cuba gave me a serious lust to go.

The cars, the people, the music everything just looked amazing.

Why should people subscribe to your page?

Well in all honesty, because I’m hilarious. I really care about the content I put out, and I really have a zest for life. I love to travel so there’s always stories or adventures to enjoy.

I’m not going to give a sales pitch here, but just come on over and get cosy. I’ll take you on a journey around the world.

What’s the most unusual thing you’ve eaten on your travels?

Alligator tails in Florida and they were delicious! I’m really easy going when it comes to food. I’ll try anything, from frogs legs to kangaroo, it really doesn’t bother me.

Name a place, city, or country where you feel happiest?

I’ve said it before but Las Vegas is my happy place. I’ve always said to people if I run away it’ll be to one place.

Las Vegas

I wouldn’t be able to be classed as missing, as everybody would know that I’d probably be having champagne brunch in the Wicked Spoon, or enjoying an ice cold beer at Harrahs.

Where’s your next adventure?

Next booked adventure is back to Las Vegas. I’ve just come back from my latest jaunt and I’ve already got itchy feet, so will probably fit in 2 more plane adventures before then.
