IQPlanner enables travellers to make money from their Adventures

Launching on the 15th of March 2017, IQPlanner is an evolution into online trip planning, that also doubles up as a monetising marketplace. UK travellers can earn money from sharing their own real-life travel itineraries, and inspire others to look and book using proprietary technology.

IQPlanner is the brainchild of an expert team with unmatched travel industry and technology pedigrees, the innovative social trip planning website enables travellers to share their own travel stories (Adventures), so that others can benefit from their experience and recommendations. If another user is inspired to book a bespoke itinerary, the author of the adventure can enjoy a reward of up to 70% commission of IQplanner’s revenue.

Commenting on the launch, IQPlanner team:

“We’ve evolved travel planning to create an online marketplace for travellers that monetises and rewards bespoke, quality itineraries. IQPlanner is loosely based o the sharing economy model, whereby those who share their experience are rewarded for creating high quality and purposeful content.”

There are over 200 adventures already listed, and IQPlanner is collaborating with travel magazines, bloggers and photographers to create even more. Once an author has finished uploading their adventure, they can share them in a browsable ‘adventure store’. Here, users can create their own travel plan using the author’s adventure template. Users can simply adjust the dates or ingredients such as hotels or cities to create a truly individual trip, and then book.

Users will benefit from:
— A no-fee marketplace where they can monetise their travel inspiration via carefully selected partners including Booking.com and Rome2Rio

— Bespoke itinerary planning – the site favours non-cookie cutter style trips

— A clean intuitive user experience created by a team that has worked across high-profile travel and technology businesses including Skyscanner and Intel Corporation

— A larger audience and a second life for their blog content

— One of the highest commission levels in the industry

Authors can write, edit and publish their personal travel itineraries, including video and images on the site's blogging platform. The author of an adventure receives commission each time a user books and pays for a trip through their template.

All adventures on IQPlanner are assembled in a catalogue, are reviewed and rated by users, and are tagged to help users find stories that fit their preferences. This is done through using theme filters (such as ‘Beach’, ‘Gastronomic Tour’) or geofilters (such as country or resort).

The earnings authors can make are structured into tiers where the number of bookings made from the author’s itineraries will influence their progression to the top tier earning band. Authors can earn as much as up to a few thousand pounds a month once reaching the top tier.

Created by technology and travel specialists, IQplanner empowers travellers and aims to streamline the travel planning process into a trip planning tool where information, curated by real people, can be easily stored, shared and reused during travel planning.
